Cindy & Jennifer of May Twenty7

Q: Hi ladies. Could you both briefly tell us about yourselves?

A: Cindy - I was raised in The Pas and lived here until I was 18 yrs old. Once I graduated high school I moved to Winnipeg to further my education and once completed found my career there and lived there until this past fall. I have worked in the Criminal Justice System for 25 plus years as a paralegal. I was with the Provincial Crown Attorney's Office for 16 years and with the Federal Crown Attorney's Office for the past 10 years. As well, I worked for MAC Cosmetics as a makeup artist for 5 years which has always been my passion. For the past 10 years I have done freelance work as a makeup artist ie. for weddings, grads, make up lessons etc. My passion has always been in the fashion and make-up industry and in the fall of 2017 I decided to leave the Federal Crown's Office and move back to The Pas to pursue a new business venture with my sister. Jennifer - I was in the finance industry for 14 years where I gained great knowledge in managing financing and staff. I then took the leap into entrepreneurship and bought an A&W Franchise and learned valuable business knowledge along the way. I have taken that knowledge and made my current business exceed expectations. I then decided that I wanted to give back to this community something that it deserves and was lacking. After many conversations with my sister, we decided to jump in with both feet into the fashion industry and this is where May Twenty7 was born!! Q: What do you both wish to provide to the people of The Pas with “May Twenty7”? A: Cindy & Jennifer - We are hoping to provide the ladies of this community with a great selection of fashion forward lines for all age groups and all sizes. Over the years we have lacked any source of female fashions in the community and we felt like it was time to bring it back to the north!! Although we realize that a lot of people do their shopping online it is not the same as coming into a boutique and having hands on service ie. trying on different styles for fit, being able put together different pieces etc.

We are looking forward to creating an experience for our clients/customers that they cannot get online. Q: What can we expect from “May Twenty7”? A: Cindy & Jennifer - We will be bringing in unique and different lines that you cannot find just at any average mall. We really want to work with more individual designers so that we can provide something special for our clients/customers. Some of the lines that we will be carrying so far are, Blonde & Brunette, Quay Eyewear, Gabby, Lemon Collections, Luna, Lack of Color Hats, Forest Lily and many more exciting lines. We are continuing to source out unique lines to bring in so that we have something to offer for everyone. Q: Thank you for taking the time to talk! Any final words for our readers? A: Cindy & Jennifer - Keep an eye on our social media pages to get a sneak peek of some of the lines we will be bringing in. We are excited for our boutique to open and start this new chapter in our lives and offer the town something special. We are so excited for the ladies to have something in their own community to enjoy and come in and be spoiled. Can't wait to see you all! You can keep up-to-date with May Twenty7 on instagram and facebook.
