Trio Boulevard

Trio Boulevard is a folk/pop/rock band from OCN, that has recently been burning up the airwaves with their new hit, "Right Here With You", which has been featured on Sirius/XM radio, as well as the Indigenous Music Countdown.

Q: Can you tell our readers a bit more about yourselves?

A: Trio Boulevard is a dedicated & passionate group of musicians whose ultimate goal is to have their music make a difference in the lives of people from all walks of life. We want our music to capture the hearts of those who need a certain emotion addressed in their lives such as happiness, grief, loss, love, lust, etc. Our music is inspired by true life stories that involve the aforementioned emotions.

Q: Your single, “Right Here with You”, is being featured on Sirius/XM & the Indigenous Music Countdown right now as one of the top songs by Indigenous artists across North America. How excited does that make you, seeing your hard work pay off like that?

A: Personally, I am very humbled by many recent experiences with our original music and the type of exposure it is receiving. I personally have always dreamed about my music reaching the ears of thousands of people and this dream of mine has certainly come to fruition but in that time, it required a lot of hard work, patience, and in a lot of cases ups and downs in the music industry itself. The musicians in Trio Boulevard have all overcome adversity as individuals and musicians but when the music starts to take off it makes our time well worth the while! It makes our spirit happy!

Q: Where did the name Trio Boulevard come from?

A: Trio Boulevard was the brainchild of Kenneth Henderson. At one point we wanted to call ourselves Trio but realized there were tons of other groups that shared that name. We even almost called ourselves Adultery but thought that we would receive criticism and stigmatization for such name. It was one trip to Winnipeg where driving down Bishop Grand Boulevard where I noticed the big sign and how attractive Boulevard sounded. It quickly seeped into my brain that boulevard could mean a variety of things and could be interpreted in a way we would like to portray ourselves. Three guys, having a spiritual musical journey on the boulevard of music!

Q: Prior to forming Trio Boulevard, have any of you had prior success in other bands?

A: Yes! Harley and myself had different roles in various different projects in the past prior to the formation of Trio Boulevard. We had a project called Chrome204 at one point in our young careers, I had a solo project, and most notably, we contributed to formation of popular local group, Dee Erin Band, whose music was also exposed nationally with nominations at various awards in Canada. We also have had the pleasure of touring across Canada with DEB and are still associated with the band today!

Q: What future projects are Trio Boulevard working on?

A: We have plans to have a awesome video out by January followed by the release of our debut album in the spring of 2018!

Thank you, Trio Boulevard, for taking time out of your schedule to answer some questions. We here at thepas.com are excited for your continued success, and cannot wait to hear more new music!
